AISAP Micro-Credentials

AISAP’s Micro-Credentials provide Admission and Enrollment Management Professionals an opportunity to participate in professional learning grounded in both learning science and AISAP’s Learning and Development Framework ©. Each Micro-Credential focuses on a specific Professional Behavior and uses a challenge-based learning process to guide participants through a rigorous, self-paced and job-embedded learning experience. Upon completion of the learning experience and demonstrated mastery of content, the professional will receive five AISAP Continuing Education Credits and a content-specific Digital Badge.

AISAP currently offers Micro-Credentials aligned to Two of the Six Learning and Development Framework© Professional Behaviors: Obtain High Standard of Integrity and Showcase School Economic Savvy. Additional Micro-Credentials will be rolled out during the 2019-2020 academic year.

AISAP currently offers four different Micro-Credentials aligned to the Professional Behavior of Obtain High Standard of Integrity. Each of these Micro-Credentials is focused on a key topic related to this Behavior, namely, Legal Implications of Admission and Enrollment decisions. Each Micro-Credential presents a common challenge related to this topic, and then guides participants through a rigorous, self-paced and job-specific learning experience. Legal Implications of Admission and Enrollment Decisions One

Description: This Micro-Credential is focused on effectively responding to the challenge of an independent school applicant with a history of behavior issues at a peer school.
Challenge Scenario Summary: Jacob was recently asked to leave a competitor peer school because he was caught hacking into their server, editing grades and harassing peers and teachers. His family is looking for a new school for him and the leadership of Holy Brooke Academy is gathering to discuss if they are equipped to handle his behavioral issues before admitting him to 11th grade.

Legal Implications of Admission and Enrollment Decisions Two

Description: This Micro-Credential is focused on effectively responding to the challenge of an independent school parent that is facing significant legal challenges.
Challenge Scenario Summary: The parents of Kirsten and Isabelle are hoping to enroll their twin girls into kindergarten at Holy Brooke Academy. However, the girls’ father has just been indicted for embezzling from a company owned by Holy Brooke’s Chair of their Board of Trustees. The leadership team is gathering to discuss all perspectives of this delicate situation to determine if admitting the girls is feasible

Legal Implications of Admission and Enrollment Decisions Three

Description: This Micro-Credential is focused on effectively responding to the challenge of an independent school family that is going through a contentious divorce.   Challenge Scenario Summary: The Inglebard family currently has one 2nd grade student enrolled in Holy Brooke and another potential kindergarten applicant. The family is currently going through highly contentious divorce proceedings and the Holy Brooke leadership team is meeting to discuss the fallout the divorce is having on the school’s relationship with the family.

Legal Implications of Admission and Enrollment Decisions Four

Description: This Micro-Credential is focused on effectively responding to the challenge of an independent school applicant with significant learning disorders.   Summary of Challenge Scenario: The Chaddahs are a legacy family of color who have a long and positive history with Holy Brooke. They are hoping to enroll their son, Reggie, who has multiple, significant learning disorders, in 6th grade. The leadership team at Holy Brooke is meeting to discuss if they are equipped to handle such a challenging situation and how they can balance that against the family’s long history with the school.


AISAP currently offers one Micro-Credential aligned to Showcase School Economic Savvy. This Micro-Credential is focused on Financial Implications of Admission and Enrollment decisions. This Micro-Credential presents a common challenge related to this topic, and then guides participants through a rigorous, self-paced and job-specific learning experience. Financial Implications of Admission and Enrollment Decisions One

Description: This Micro-Credential is focused on effectively responding to the challenge of an independent school family that has received a better financial offer from a competitor school.   Summary of Challenge Scenario: The Head of School has received an email from a well-liked, highly regarded alumnus saying that his son, Ethan, was admitted to a peer school with a small, but not insignificant financial grant, while your school admitted him without aid. The alumnus has communicated that he was hoping for additional financial aid from your school, and will need to make a decision on where his son will attend by the following day. The leadership team is meeting to determine the next steps for communicating with the alumnus.
